Organic Non Toxic Laundry Cleaner

Specially formulated and powerful multi-use cleanser that is safe and mild on YOU! Made from saponified organic coconut, olive and jojoba oils, essential oils, organic aloe vera and rosemary extract. Works best in warm to hot water.  Contains no *Sodium Lauryl Sulfate or other detergents, alcohols, d-limonene, artificial colors, fragrances, or preservatives. This is a multi-purpose cleaning concentrate made from Castile Liquid Soap  and a special blend of essential oils.

NTC is of special benefit to chemically sensitive and immune system impaired individuals. The most sensitive will see the most dramatic results.

Psoriasis, eczema and dermatitis sufferers often react to laundry, dish and other common cleaning products. It is not uncommon to find people who are itchy or irritated wherever fabric rubs against them. Irritations at cuffs, collars, thighs and elbows may be a sign that laundry products are implicated. Anyone with itchy skin may be helped by washing their clothes in NTC. Replaces fabric softener, whiteners, stain removers and dryer sheets for added savings.

Our supplier of this particular product doesn’t use SLS or any other detergent based foaming agents in this.

*Sodium Lauryl (Laureth) Sulfate (SLS) is currently the primary foaming agent of Western civilization. It is usually found in combination with cocamidopropyl betaine (cocabetaine) and diethanolalamine (DEA), which itself has fallen under scrutiny of late. SLS is found in shampoos, bath gels, car washes, dish detergents, bar "soaps", laundry detergents, etc. It is a wetting and dispersing agent, emulsifier, degreaser and foamer. It also increases skin permeability roughly 100 times and is used in lotions to increase absorption of micronutrients through the skin.

Here are the potential negatives: It is used in toothpaste to make it foam and also so the paste will stay together when coming out of the machines. Unfortunately it also aggravates the gums causing irritation. A University of Oslo (Norway) report states that individuals with gum disease had their symptoms cleared 40 times faster when non-SLS toothpaste was used.

1.        There is a possible link between SLS and permanent damage to the eyes of infants. The Italian study I heard about was 40 years old. This definitely deserves further investigation.

2.        May increase hair loss, and promote skin and scalp irritation in sensitive individuals. May produce skin and hair damage including cracking and inflammation. SLS is a known skin irritant and is used in lotion tests. First the skin is irritated with SLS - then the soothing effects of the lotion is tested on it.

3.        A (remote) possible bladder cancer risk factor exists. But only if you hold your urine in your bladder for long periods of time (Trucker Syndrome).

Soap has been around for thousands of years. Chemical surfactants (foaming agents) for less than a hundred years. You can decide for yourself what qualifies as "natural". With 16 billion dollars a year at stake you can bet there will be a lot of denial over this one! Try natural handmade soaps - they are really GOOD for your skin.

 USES

Laundry : Use about 1/3 cup per load - a little more for hard water. NTC may be neutralized by detergent residues in the machine so use enough to get the barest start of foam on top. You may have to use a little extra the first time. Always mix into warm water before adding the clothes. Softens clothes with natural aloe! Also has a mild whitening effect. Great for silks and fine fabrics, wool and suede (may darken).

Stain Removal: Safe and effective. Wet surface and apply full strength. Work into the material from several directions and let sit a moment. Rinse and dry.

Woodwork, Floors and Walls: Dilute 1/4 cup per 1 gallon of hot water. Clean, rinse and let dry.

Bathrooms: Use full strength on sponge and rinse. For all porcelain and tile surfaces.

Vehicles: Saturate sponge with NTC. Work over vehicle in sections, wetting first, applying NTC, then rinse. Always wash vehicles out of direct sunlight.

Carpets: Replaces detergent concentrates. Works well in all carpet cleaning machines and on stains.

General Cleaning: Stovetop, refrigerator, etc. Wet surface. Scrub with sponge saturated in NTC. Rinse and dry. For ALL watersafe surfaces.
